Summer holidays
What a long 6 weeks that was!!! No holiday for us last year with moving and everything. Boy did we miss it!!! Well I tried to occupy the kids with having the new paddling pool out in the garden and having friends round. We bought James a nice big climbing frame which all the kids enjoyed. Apart from Tiff who is too big to go on it. We took the bus into town a few times and found that there is a tour bus outside the castle where you can travel around town in style (laugh). I didn’t go on it mind.
Tiff went swimming a few times at the leisure pool. She said it is fun but a bit expensive. I admit that I still haven’t been, but I am not really a water baby. I can swim quite well but I don’t enjoy it.
We had lots of visitors from St Neots and Letchworth during the holidays. It is a good job we have two spare rooms for guests. At one point I felt like a guest house hostess. It was lovely to see everyone though.
I do admit that I couldn’t wait for the kids to go back to school as towards the end they were driving me insane. The summer holidays are very long if you don’t go away for a break!!
