Bank Holiday
Gosh what a day!! It was a very good day and we had my sister and her family come down for the day. We had a good laugh and I cooked a huge bolognaise for dinner. It was scoffed up in no time!!
We sat in the garden chatting and drinking wine when Terry said he wanted Tweenie cakes!! We all trudged off to Tesco and ended up buying more than just Tweenie cakes!! We had jam tarts, swiss rolls, carrot cake, country slices. None of it any good for us at all!! We bought some other nibbles with the intention of just nibbling away the afternoon and not bothering with tea. BUT we then decided to get the barbie out and had that as well!! I must admit not all of the cakes went, but most did!! Then we demolished everything that I cooked on the barbie. Needless to say that we were totally stuffed!! I don’t think any of us had pigged out like that for ages!!
No regrets as it was fun and everyone went home happy!!
Today was back to normal and I wasn’t really hungry at all but I am not surprised after yesterday!! It was another glorious day on the weather front so I took advantage and took a brief trip out in my car with the roof down. Won’t get many more opportunities once autumn is upon us!!
