Time Flies

Hi everyone!  My goodness where does the time go?  It only seems like yesterday that it was Christmas!

Well the kids are settled back into school and David back at work.  Me! Oh yes!  I am back at work too.  I thought it would be hard after the Christmas break to get back into a routine, especially with James as he seemed to sleep in quite late, but now we are settled back into school again and getting up that much earlier in the mornings.  I must admit that I have had to get James up every morning but we are always ready on time to face the day.

It’s good to be back to normal again!  We have returned to karate after the Christmas break and it was surprising how quickly you can get sluggish.  It must have been due to all of the rich foods, well that’s my excuse anyway.

We have just started going to the Arena karate class as things were not quite going so well at Highwoods.  They have a new sensei there now but we are quite happy with our decision to change.  It was easier this week and we didn’t feel sluggish this time.  I admit that sometimes I feel like I don’t really want to go, but once I am there I am ok and do enjoy the class.  Sensei Allan showed us some Kata which we will learn next year, and it looks very complicated.  I said to David that I will probably not be able to grade after orange belt as it looks too hard.  He just laughed and said it will be fine.  It’s ok for him and Tiff as they used to do karate when we lived in St Neots.  It’s a bit different in style, but not a great deal.  Watch out for the future and see how far we can get!!

I also think remebering kata’s difficult. Jaimie is much better at remembering the Japanese for everything. We both have yellow belts and are practising towards orange. It is mainly an adult class but Jaimie and another teenager come along ( of course they are much better than us!). Keep it up though I feel really energetic after a karate lesson.
