Frinton,Walton & Clacton

On Tuesday all of the German and English students went out to the seaside for the day.  I asked Lisa if she was excited and she said she was as she is was one of the students who had never been to the beach before.

I packed them off with sandwiches and left over pizza and some money for chips and ice cream.  Both girls went to collect Lisa-Marie who is Amy’s partner as Amy has hurt her knee and couldn’t go to the coast with them.

Tiffany said that it was a really warm and pleasant day.  They went on two coaches to Walton where they then followed the coast round to Frinton on foot.  It took them quite a while to do it but they all enjoyed looking out to sea and and having a good look at their surroundings.  Once they reached Frinton, they all got back on the coaches and headed for Clacton.

At Clacton, they had the chance to take their shoes off and paddle in the sea.  Many of the German students took part in this as it was all new to them.  The English students on the other hand seemed to keep their shoes on and their feet dry.  They all enjoyed the amusements and many tried fish and chips.  They also did a little shopping where they bought sticks of rock and sweets to take back to Germany with them.

They returned to the Gilberd school at 3pm all happy and tired after all that walking.  Once home Tiffany had invited Amy to come round as she has missed so much of the activities.  So, Tiff, Lisa, Amy and Lisa-Marie all enjoyed a couple of hours upstairs in the den chatting and watching tv chilling out.

In the evening, Lisa and Tiffany went round to Amy’s house to watch DVD’s.  Another eventful and full day for Lisa and her fellow students.
