London Update!
As promised a little update from the London trip!
Well I sat flicking through the tv channels whilst waiting for midnight to arrive so that I could go and collect the girls from school. I decided to leave around 11:50pm so that I got a space colse to the school as I was collecting Amy and her partner too. As Amy is on crutches, I didn’t want her to have to walk too far.
I met up with Connie’s dad and Rea’s mum at the school and we stood chatting in the cold. Soon more parents arrived all yawning and looking very tired. As midnight came and went, with no coaches arriving, I decided to call Tiffany on her mobile to see where they were. They finally arrived around 12:40am all excited but looking very tired. We still had to wait for the German coach which was about 10 minutes behind them.
Once everyone had arrived safely, we made our way towards home. We dropped Amy and Lisa-Marie off first and then went home. It was gone 1am when we finally got sorted and got the two very tired girls off to bed. Once they were sorted we made our way to bed too, knowing we had to be up early intime to take Lisa to school for her coach home.
Lisa liked London very much, but said that the London Eye was a bit boring as it went round so slowly and you can only look at so much more than once. This made me laugh as her expression was amusing. She thought that Madam Tusaudes was brilliant and many of her colleagues loved it too. She said she enjoyed walking along the Thames from Westminster to the Tower. She said that London was very busy but a very interesting place to go to.
Once our students joined them at the theatre to watch the Lion King, they were able to mix again. They all said it was fantastic and some came home with little gifts and flashing tiaras.
On the whole it was anothe successful day for them all.
