After a very late night, we had to get up early on Friday morning in order to get Lisa back to the Gilberd school to meet her fellow students to get the coach for home.

As promised a little update from the London trip!
Well I sat flicking through the tv channels whilst waiting for midnight to arrive so that I could go and collect the girls from school.  I decided to leave around 11:50pm so that I got a space colse to the school as I was collecting Amy and her partner [...]

Today the German students had to be in school by 8:30am to get the coach to London.  Unfortunately the English students had to spend the day in school as many of them are doing GCSE coursework.  They were leaving school at 4pm to join their partners in London so that they could all see the [...]

Yesterday was one of the days they were all looking forward to the most.  A day out at Chessington theme park.  It is about 2 1/2 hours drive away so they all needed to be in school quite early to catch the coaches so that they got the most out of their time there.

On Tuesday all of the German and English students went out to the seaside for the day.  I asked Lisa if she was excited and she said she was as she is was one of the students who had never been to the beach before.

After spending the morning in school with our students joining them in their lesssons, making cream teas and having a sports competition, the German students and ours went off to Colchester Castle where they all had guided tours.  They all said that they thought the Castle was very nice and were surprised to see one [...]

I forgot to mention that yesterday morning Lisa joined us for some of our Karate lesson.  She enjoyed the first part where we were doing our basic punches and kicks.  She wasn’t able to join the sparring, but watched and said afterwards that it looked too rough.  She said she enjoyed watching and it was [...]

Well we were certainly blessed with the weather!  The sun was shining and even though it was a little chilly, the kids all went into the pool.  They said the water was cold but it didn’t stop them enjoying themselves.

The time has finally arrived for the German students to arrive!  After rushing around getting everything ready for today I can finally relax a little now that Lisa and her fellow students arrived safely this afternoon at the Gilberd School at 4pm.
