School Nearly Over.

Filed under: Uncategorized — Mummy @ 4:23 pm

I can’t believe I have nearly finished my first whole year at school.  In September I will have a new teacher and be in a new classroom.  My new teacher is called Miss Farrah.  I am looking forward to being in a new class.

Mummy and daddy are very pleased with me as I had a good school report.  It was my first ever and I am so happy it was good.  I can read really well now and am on stage 6.  I have read loads of them now and I like being able to read lots of different words.  I like doing maths too and lots of other things.

On Monday I am going to go to see my grandma and grandad.  I am going on a plane and I can’t wait.  It is 6 more sleeps!!  I am so excited!!!  I can swim in their pool and have lots of cuddles with grandma.  I want to show her how good I am at reading.

Tiffany is still on her work experience.  I think she likes it but I will have to ask her.  She comes home on the bus and it is near to when my daddy gets home.  She will be in year 11 in September so she is a big girl now.

I will tell you all about my holiday and how much fun I have.  Bye for now.

Hello

Filed under: Uncategorized — James @ 10:07 pm

I thought it was about time that mummy did another entry on my blog.

Well I have been busy at school learning things.  I am now on level 5 reading books and I like them because they are all about Kipper and Chip and a magic key that keeps making them shrink and have adventures.  They are good fun to read and I am doing well mummy and daddy say.

I am getting good at adding numers and can spell lots of words too.  I have lots of friends at school and sometimes one will come to my house and play and have dinner too.  I like it when mummy picks up one of my friends too.  We race home to see who gets there first.  Mummy can’t run at the moment though because she has a poorly knee.

I only have a few weeks left in Reception class now.  I will miss my teacher because she is very nice.  I will have a new teacher in year one, but I don’t know who it is yet.

I am looking forward to the summer holidays because I am going to see my Grandma and Grandad in Spain.  We are going to spend two weeks with them and I can play in their swimming pool with Tiffany.  When we come home, I will be going to soccer camp again.  It will be different to last time.  This time I will be staying for four hours a day and I will get to learn lots of new things.  It will be fun and I am looking forward to going.  Mummy will stay with me some of the time to watch.  On the last day I think we get to meet the players from Colchester United.  That willl be great fun!!  I can’t wait for that!

I have been playing in my paddling pool this weekend.  It has been very hot so daddy got it out of the garage for me.  I got daddy unawares as I filled up my bucket with water from my paddling pool and I poured it all over him.  The water was cold and it made him jump.  It was so funny and everyone laughed.  Daddy had to get changed because I made him very wet.  He had to put his shorts on the washing line to dry.  It was a fun weekend.  I like the summer because I get to play in the garden loads and I can have all of my toys outside.  I also get to use my climing frame which is good fun.  I can now swing along the monkey bars from one end to the other.  Tiffany was laughing at me because she said I looked like a monkey swining from them.

Well that is all there is for now.  Will be back again soon.

How time flies!!

Filed under: Uncategorized — James @ 10:01 pm

Oh dear!! Mummy has been naughty for not keeping up with my blog!

It was half term when mummy last wrote on here. So what have I been up to since then?

Well I started going to football and I really enjoy it. I go to Tiffany’s school to play and some of my friends go too. The Colchester United Community Sports Trust run the football and we get to learn how the grown up men play. I went to soccer camp during Easter break and it was really good. I got to go every day for a week and I got a certificate and a keyring with one of the Col U players on it. Mummy has sent off another form for me to go to soccer camp in the summer holidays and I get to see the Col U players train and join in with them. I hope I get a place as it looks really exciting.

At school I am now on reading books at level 4. Mummy and daddy are very happy and so am I. I get maths homework and spellings to learn too every week. I like my school as it is fun and we get to do lots of different things. Last week we went to the zoo and it was really good. We saw lots of different animals and we were allowed to buy ice creams. Mummy is going to see Mrs Niven on Monday to ask if she can bring our rabbit, Barney, into class as we are doing a topic on animals. Everyone will be allowed to stroke him. He is a very friendly rabbit so everyone will like him.

I am sooooo happyyyy!! I have learned to ride my bike and now mummy lets me ride it to school. We have a new bike shed so mummy can lock my bike up and I can put my helmet in the locker. I have been riding my bike for a couple of months now ans I am getting better all the time. Sometimes my friend Daniel Button lets me ride his bike. I have also been getting better on my roller blades. I think it is all about just getting your balance and then it is easy. I am really happy now that I can do theses things. Hopefully we can now go out together on our bikes at the weekends.

Well I think that is all the news for now. That’s really only because mummy has forgotten half of the stuff I have been doing. She is a busy mummy so I don’t expect her to remember everything I do. The important things are nice and she does remember those. I will see if she can write more another day.

What have I been up to?

Filed under: Uncategorized — James @ 11:32 am

Hello everyone!

I have been a busy boy so far. I have been going to school on my scooter every day and I can go very fast now. I am also trying to learn to ride my new bike that I got for Christmas. It is very hard for me and sometimes I don’t want to do it because it feels scary. Mummy and daddy take me and hold on but I still get nervous. I will get there one day and will be able to ride on my own. Then we will all be able to go out on our bikes and have fun.

I am getting very good at reading and mummy and daddy are very happy for me. I am on stage 3 now and I am finding it quite easy. I have been reading different books at home. I can read book 1 and 2 from the ladybird scheme. I think I am going to try book 3 now.

Last week was half term and mummy was painting the living room so I had to play upstairs. Mummy did take me to Adventureland so that I could play with some of my friends. It was good fun and I really enjoyed it. My friend Sam came back to my house afterwards so we could play for a bit longer.

On Thursday I went to Sams house to play. We had good fun and played with all of his toys. Mummy was downstairs talking to Sams mummy. It was nice to meet some of my friends so I couldn’t annoy Tiffany while she was revising for her tests that she has at school next week.

Mummy bought me some new trainers on Friday because I had grown out of my other ones. On the way home we stopped off ant my friend Caitlins house so I got to play with her for a little while. Caitlin says she is going to marry me when I get all grown up. Mummy laughed and so did Caitlin’s mummy. When we went home, mummy had to finish painting the wood work in the lounge and I accidentally touched it and got paint on my hands. I forgot mummy was painting. She got a baby wipe and cleaned all of the sticky paint off. I was pleased as I didn’t like it. I made sure I was more careful afterwards and didn’t touch it again.

We went to Karate on Saturday and it was good fun. I tried very hard to do some of the blocks and punches but I kept getting confused when they got faster. It was still good fun though.

We stayed home on Sunday as mummy and daddy wanted to watch Colchester play football on the tv. Mummy had a friend come to watch it too so I played on the playstaion with her son. We had fun and he was very helpful at showing me how to play my games properly.

I have gone back to school today so I will be able to see all of my friends and my teacher. I had fun during half term so I am ready for school again. Mummy will write again soon when I have done some more things. Bye for now.

What have I been doing?

Filed under: Uncategorized — James @ 5:48 pm

Well hello again!! I know my mummy has been very busy so has not been able to write my diary lately. But today she is going to tell you all about what I have been doing.

Well at school we did a little nativity play and I was a star with all of my class mates. It is the first time I have been in a play and I really enjoyed it. I could see mummy and daddy in the audience and I couldn’t help waving at them. It was fun and I want to do it again next year.

We had Christmas dinner at school too and I really enjoyed that. Mummy works at my school and she had dinner with us too. It was a very fun day and we played lots of games.

My grandma and grandad came to stay for Christmas and it was very good fun. We had lots of people stay for dinner and the house was full. I had lots of nice presents too. I had a brand new bike without stabilisers and a lovely new go cart. They were my favourite presents. I also had some bionicles figures and daddy helped me build them. I had lots of other things too but I can’t remember all of them. I have been so busy playing with them.

Daddy has taken me out on my bike a few times and I am starting to get my balance now. I hope I will be able to ride my bike soon. I can pedal my go cart very quickly and I whizz along the pavement so daddy has to run to keep up with me.

I had a brilliant birthday and had lots of nice presents. I had a batman scooter which is brilliant. I also had money and a robopet. My friends all came to my birthday party which was a disco. We had lots of fun dancing and playing games. I am 5 now and am getting to be a big boy.

It was Tiffany’s birthday yesterday and she had presents too. Mummy put hers under the tree like she did mine. I went to Caitlins party as it was her birthday yesterday too. Tiffany is having her friends to stay on Saturday so I will be able to annoy them because that’s what little brothers do.

I am going back to school tomorrow. I will see all of my friends again. I like school very much. I can read books now and I am on stage 2 reading books. I like reading about Kipper and Chip. I like counting things too. School is good because I get to learn good things and I can see all of my friends. I like my teacher Mrs Niven. She is very nice to me. In my class there will be some new children starting so there will be lots more for my teacher to look after. Some of my friends from pre school will be coming to my class so I can see them again. I hope it will be fun.

I think that is all mummy can write about at the moment. When she has some more time she will write again. Bye for now.

I Can Read

Filed under: Uncategorized — James @ 9:46 pm

Hello everyone!! I have been a busy boy going to school. I really like it there and my teacher is nice.

I can now read and I am very happy. Mummy and Daddy help me and they are happy too that I can read some words without any help. My teacher has put me up to level one with sentences instead of just a few words. I am doing quite well I think so I must ask mummy.

I am good at counting too but not so good at painting and drawing. I like to build things with blocks and lego. I don’t mind drawing sometimes, but it makes my hand ache so I don’t enjoy it. I know that I have to learn to write and I can write my name and mummy.

I think my teacher likes me and I have lots of new friends. I have some birthday parties to go to which will be fun. I like my school and I am happy there.

I wanted to say “Hello Grandma and Grandad, I Love You”"

School

Well I am a big boy now and have finally started primary school!! I have been there just a week now, but have only been staying until lunch time. Tomorrow (Thursday) I will be finally staying for lunch as well and mummy will come and collect me afterwards. I am so excited about that as I have never stayed for lunch before.

I am really happy in my new school. My teacher is very nice and her name is Mrs Niven. I am making lots of new friends and some of my old friends from pre school are in my class too. We get to play outside when it is nice weather and we have a play area to ourselves as we are the little ones. I like playing on the bikes and I like to share with my class.

Next Monday I will be staying at school all day and mummy will come and get me at the end of school just like all the other mummies. I wonder what mummy will do all by herself all day long? I bet it will feel strange to her not having me around until late afternoon!

I am so excited about staying in school all day. I will get to learn lots of new things too. I will miss mummy though.

Time Flies

Filed under: Uncategorized — James @ 9:49 pm

Gosh where has the time gone??? It’s almost 2 weeks since mummy last wrote on my blog. She has probably forgotten what I have been up to.

Well I can’t really remember myself but here are a couple of things I have done.

It was mummy’s birthday and we went our for dinner with great nan which was fun, but my mashed potato had too much pepper in it so I didn’t like it and mummy told the waitress and she took it away.

I played with my cousins when we went to my uncles house for a bbq. It was his birthday too and he is older than mummy. I saw Sophie and Luke and Christopher and Hannah. We had lots of fun playing and I went to sleep in the car because I was so tired after all my hard play.

Yesterday, my aunty Lisa came to our house so I got to play with Sophie and Luke again. We had a bbq because it was very sunny and warm. They went home quite late so I had another late night. I was very tired and didn’t wake up until 9am today!! I bet mummy was pleased that I stayed in bed longer than usual!!

Today we stayed home and mummy did lots of house work while I played with all of my toys. I did play on my climbing frame too and I like to swing from the monkey bars. It was very hot again today so it was fun to be able to play in the garden.

Next week I start big school. I am looking forward to it and think it will be fun as I will learn lots of new things. I will tell you how my first day goes.

Well that’s all for now. Byeeeee.

Swimming

Filed under: Uncategorized — James @ 8:34 pm

Hello everyone!! Daddy took me swimming to the big pool in the leisure park last week and he was very pleased as I could remember how to swim!! I had lots of fun and I think daddy did too.

We also started karate last week. I am not very good yet so I got a bit upset because I couldn’t do the moves right. Mummy and daddy came too and as daddy had been lots of times before, he was ok. Mummy was like me and couldn’t keep up, but she didn’t get upset like me. Tiffany is coming too this week. She used to go before I was born so she will be ok at keeping up.

My great nanny is coming to stay this weekend. Daddy is going to pick her up tomorrow after lunch. It will be nice to see her. It is also mummies birthday on Sunday but I don’t know what we will be doing. I will get mummy to write again to tell you all about her birthday. Bye for now!!

OOPS!!!

Filed under: Uncategorized — James @ 10:38 pm

Oh dear guess what I did today??? I was playing with daddies birthday balloon today in the kitchen and as mummy was cutting the grass she had the back door open. Guess what happened next???

Yes the balloon flew out of the door and floated away. Mummy saw it going over the houses and it was getting higher and higher. I didn’t cry though because I know daddy didn’t mind as his birthday was a few weeks ago and the balloon was almost deflated. It was quite funny to see it floating away into the sky. We all just stood and watched it go out of sight.

I wonder where it landed?
