General Update on Us Living in Spain
The weather is back to hot, hot, hot! One little shower as darkness fell throughout a week of cloudy days.
The pool during that time dropped by 3 degrees so the cover is back on. Already the temp has gone back up 3 degrees so the object is to maintain the temperature till cold morsel daughter-in-law Alison arrives next week.
All the chalet-maiding is done following the departure of our last visitors and rooms are ready for our son David and family, who arrive a week tomorrow. I think they are on major countdown now!
The garden is looking good with a manicured lawn and neat borders. Still Pete’s mountain garden is on the back boiler until the autumn though.
Our next door neighbours, Tom and Sarah have finally moved out from Scotland to live here permanently. They arrived yesterday evening, had dinner with us and slept at our house. They are going to rough it and sleep on our blow-up mattress in their own house until their furniture arrives from Scotland next Sunday.
Landline telephones are now promising to be imminent! We sign contracts next Monday and are told installation will take place within one week of that. Watch this space!
The car goes in on Thursday for it’s 1st service since we’ve owned it. It is going to a bona-fide Ford garage but will we have another saga to tell? Wait and See!
